| Story Summary Fox decides he wants to live on a farm instead of in the forest. He takes his friend the frog along to find the farm. On the way, Fox falls in a stream. He's tired, wet, and hungry. He realizes that life in the forest is not so bad after all. Build Background Preview the Book Write fox and frog on the board. Read each word aloud to students. Have volunteers come to the board and take turns circling the letter that stands for the /f/ sound in the words. Open the book and show students the illustrations on each page. Ask them to identify any words with the /f/ sound from the pictures. Invite students to predict what the story might be about. During Reading Allow students to ask questions during reading. Pause occasionally to ask students to predict what might happen next. After Reading Comprehension
